Coke’s Milk Diversification 2025 Update

Coke Looking to expand away from soft drinks

In 2020, Coke used a related diversification strategy to purchase Fairlife, a milk company in hopes of diversifying its drink portfolio. Fairlife is not just any milk product, it is a specialty product where some sugars are extracted creating a healthier and better tasting product according to its fans. CEO Quincey has spent billions to promote coffee and sports drinks but so far it appears the milk business is the larger winner among the increasingly diversified portfolio of Coke. About 60 percent of Coke’s sales are derived from soda and soda related concentrates with the rest from Minute Maid orange juice and other drink products. Take Pepsi into account, they own Frito Lay and 60 percent of their sales are derived from chips and other snacks. What do you think CEO Quincey should do moving forward to counter the more healthy minded public without moving Coke too far away from what it does best?
